A basic chai tea recipe
Boil the following ingredients for 5 minutes, remove from heat and allow to steep for another ten minutes:
1 Tbsp fennel or anise seed
6 green cardamom pods
12 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1/4″ ginger root, sliced thinly
1/4 tsp black pepper corns
2 bay leaves
7 Cups water
Return to a boil and add 2 Tablespoons of assam tea and allow to steep for 5 minutes. Add 6 Tablespoons of honey, molasses, or brown sugar depending on preference and 1 cup milk. Enjoy.
