Storing tea can be an issue for tea lovers who like to have numerous different teas on hand from which to choose. Tea will last a fairly long time, but not forever, if carefully stored. Tea should be stored in a dark, air-tight container, as sunlight will cause it to degrade. A cool, dry environment is also necessary as moisture will damage the leaves. Any container will do, and special tea tins are available, but nothing special is required. A good tea will remain fresh for about a year if kept away from moisture, heat, and light.
